The one cover that stood out to me, “The weight of a crown”. for personal reasons. The man on the cover has a look that I saw on my expired father’s face. One that I saw many times back over 50 years ago, when I was growing up. The look was one that said a lot without words and always worked to motivate me.
The Thief Who Pulled On Trouble’s Braids by Michael McClung is the finalist that caught my attention. Not only did I go on to buy that book, but I have purchased the sequels as well and am going to be with this series for the long haul! Still I would love to read the other finalists.
