Or for those of you who prefer something with fewer religious connotations, Happy Halloween!

For me, though, the day is part of a religious celebration, and the reason I’m not reading or blogging about reading right now is because I’m currently in the kitchen, making all sorts of delicious things for a Samhain feast this evening. It’s the time of year for me when I remember those who came before, and to guard myself against the coming dark days. It’s a feast of celebration and rememberance, joy and mourning, and one that deserves some good food and drink!

So to all my friends and readers, stay warm, dry, and safe from all the ghouls and goblins. Whether they be real, symbolic, or sugar-hyper children.
