Kristen at Bookworming in the 21st Century is hosting a readathon this coming weekend, in an attempt to get closer to get goal of reading 300 books by the end of the year. (She’s 28 books behind, and that’s almost as many books as I’ve read since the year began!) I may not behind in my reading goals (Goodreads registers that I’m 1 books behind, but it’s not taking into account the fact that I reread one book this year that I also read and reviewed last year, so I’m technically still on track), but getting ahead wouldn’t hurt me any. I was nicely ahead in January, and then my new job kicked in, and, well, I couldn’t keep up that pace anymore. It’d be nice to get myself a little bit ahead of the game once more.
So I’m participating. It’ll be fun, and one lucky participant will win a book from Kristen’s collection, so there’s a nice added bonus to this readathon!
So, here are all the details, copy and pasted from the sign-up page:
When: Thursday, April 21st through the end of Monday, April 25th. Any time zone, start when you want, read when you want.
Where: Here, on your blog, on your couch, on Goodreads.. wherever!
What: Read books – duh! If you’d like to make a goal, go ahead.
My goal is to have 5 books read over that long weekend. It won’t be easy, since I work on 3 out of those 5 days. But I’ll manage, even if it involves me reading a couple of short books.
So, anybody else signing up? Come on, you know you want to.
I wish I could join in, but Eastercon is calling this coming weekend, so I won't really have a great deal of time to read. I certainly could do with a catch up on review copies and the Arthur C Clarke shortlist read!!
