30 Days of Genre – Intro

There have been many places where I’ve seen the 30 Days of Video Games meme. The one where each of the 30 days has a theme, and you post your response or thoughts to it. There are some interesting responses to that meme, too, and it seems to generate plenty of discussion among participants, ranging from the standard, “Me too,” to long involved debates about which game has better moments, music, etc.

But there doesn’t seem to be a similar meme for books. Specifically, genre books. So, inspired by the video game one, I decided it was time for that to change. I now present to you…

  1. Guess I should post my comment here too, didn't notice her link at first from the other blog…

My first genre novel was: Dragonlance Chronciles vol 1 by Weis & Hickman.

It was given to me to try while I was learning to play dungeons and dragons in my youth and I love it and have been addicted to genre books ever since.

Also started tweeting answers everyday under hashtag: #30DaysofGenre (maybe more will join in)

  2. Jeremy, that's so awesome that you started the hashtag; I didn't even think of doing that since I didn't realize others would be interested in doing the meme the very same day that I make the first post. :D I really appreciate that.

I look forward to seeing your answers to all the questions/themes.

  3. My first genre novel was Nor Crystal Tears by Alan Dean Foster – stolen from a box of books in the attic. Naturally I read my way through the entire box after! Funny though I am much more interested in fantasy over scifi.
