Heyla!
No, I haven’t returned early. I’m still on a review hiatus for now, which is good because it’s giving me time to do many things. Aside from catching up on some reading that I’ve been putting off, my health isn’t exactly improving (still battling that annoying tumour and its associated symptoms, which are making my life hellish some days), so removing additional stresses and responsibilities has been a good move, I think.
But I wanted to drop by and update the list of books that I’ve read this past while that will be getting a review once I start to write them up again. I’m rather surprised at how long the list is; I have enough for over a month’s worth of regular review posts already!
Valdemar novels (all by Mercedes Lackey)
Take a Thief
Brightly Burning
Exile’s Honor
Foundation
Intrigues
Changes
Non-Valdemar novels
Nexus, by Ramez Naam
Flowers for Algernon, by Daniel Keyes
Good Omens, by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
The Hobbit, by J R R Tolkien
A Natural History of Dragons, by Marie Brennan
The Tainted City, by Courtney Schafer
Not too shabby a list, I must say. And seeing it laid out like this makes me look forward to the day when I start writing the reviews again, which is a sign that this blog isn’t shutting its metaphorical doors for good. It feels good to be working my way through my backlog, putting one book down and just picking up another without worry about seeming lazy if I don’t update the blog.
And now, back to hibernation. Take care, everyone!
Glad you are doing well and enjoying your reads. :) Take care and look forward to seeing your return. :)
